Despite the impact of the pandemic, the Asian Development Bank forecasts that Vietnam is still one of the fastest growing economy in Southeast Asia. Vietnam's economy is expected to rebound at a growth rate of 6.8% in 2021, as long as the pandemic could be contained, according to the Asian Development Bank.
