Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO) plays a crucial role in fostering the development of domestic patents. In recent years, TIPO has dedicated efforts to promoting the commercialization of patents, creating new market opportunities, and enhancing Taiwan’s overall intellectual property environment. To help inventors’ innovative ideas and their patented products expand into overseas markets, TIPO has commissioned the TAITRA to establish the "TAIWAN PATENT GO" at Taiwan International Tradeshows since 2024. This pavilion will showcase outstanding patented products, aiming to establish connections professional buyers through the exhibition platform, and achieve the goal of "Taiwan Innovates, Prosperity Follows."
This year, TAIWAN PATENT GO will make its debut at TIMTOS 2025 at TWTC Hall 1, displaying five award-winning patented products, demonstrating Taiwan's leading R&D capabilities and innovative potential in the manufacturing sector. These exhibits will highlight Taiwan’s world-class R&D capabilities and innovation potential in the manufacturing sector. One of the key highlights will be the “Through-hole machining control system for electrical discharge machines” by Ocean Technologies Co., Ltd., which recently won the National Invention and Creation Award (NICA) in 2024. It provides real-time through-hole recognition, automatic penetration depth control, and high accuracy (±0.3mm) for cutting tools sized Φ0.2~6.0mm, with a processing speed up to 75mm/min.
In addition, there are four other outstanding patents that have won the NICA in 2020 and the Taiwan Innotech Expo (tie) in 2022 and 2024:
● |
“Force limiting and damping device” by Jui yuan shih has pioneered the shock-absorbing principle of striking tools. It has a wide range of applications. The products currently developed include hammers, camping hammers, axes, and golf clubs. |
● |
“Tool bezel inspection structure of grinder” by Sharp One Co., Ltd is a single machine can grind many types of drill bits, and grinding high-efficiency drill bits can help customers save costs. |
● |
“Holder for vibration assisted cutting tool” by National Pingtung University of Science and Technology is the first in the world to use a built-in actuating vibration design. It canprocess high-hardness materials and be adjusted to a high-efficiency vibration-assisted cutting tool, improving the machining performance and efficiency of the original tool. |
● |
“GUV Dynamic scan Sterilization Tunnel” by Light beam One International co.,Ltd uses Light focusing technology quickly increases the energy of GUV radiation by 900 times to achieve disinfection and sterilization requirements. |
It is worth mentioning that a patent technology presentation will be held from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM on March 4-6 at TAIWAN PATENT GO, inviting companies to share their patent technology and R&D journey, leading the audience to deeply explore the value and charm of patent. Furthermore, there are also free patent consultation services from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM daily, providing Experts from the TIPO, Asian Patent Attorneys Association, Taiwan Patent Attorneys Association, and Patent Search Center will be on-site to answer patent-related questions.
